The appearance of ‘Pickle the Spy’ was welcomedby a good deal of clamour on the part of some Highlandcritics. It was said that I had brought adisgraceful charge, without proof, against a Chief ofunstained honour. Scarcely any arguments wereadduced in favour of Glengarry.
