AROUND THE CORNER, comedy In 3 acts, by Martin Flavin. This timelywork, described as an "American play for the American people," hasjust been released. It was produced in December, 1936, on Broadwayby Lodewick Vroom. Mr. Flavin's latest produced play is a dramaticpicture of an average middle-class American family at grips withthe recent depression. The author has adopted the viewpoint thateven the dark years have their aspects of comedy, and the play is arare mixture of character, humor and serious preachment. The playrequires only one interior setting and calls for a cast of 7 menand 3 women. (Production fee quoted upon request.)
